Jopen Church
The Jopen Church, Haarlem’s pride… The former Jacob Church in the Raaks area is now a fully operational brewery, Grand Café, and restaurant. While enjoying a drink or dinner, you can witness the brewing process with your own eyes.
What began as an anniversary stunt has grown into the fastest-growing independent brewery in the Netherlands. With a history rooted in the city of Haarlem, but with a fresh outlook on a promising future.
Jopen has revived Haarlem’s brewing tradition and is once again brewing historic specialty beers. Many of the Jopen beers are still brewed with the three historical brewing grains: barley, oats, and wheat. This gives Jopen beers their own unique flavor.
