Stay overnight in a listed national monument right in the historic city center. B&B Hotel Malts is a fresh and intimate guesthouse for anyone looking for the informal character of a B&B combined with excellent service!
Below is some useful information for before, during, and after your stay.
Reservations
To book a room, you can use the Book Direct button. This allows you to make a reservation safely. If you prefer personal contact, feel free to email or call us.
We offer various prices with different conditions:
Standard B&B room rate includes breakfast buffet.
Standard Bed Only room rate excludes breakfast, which can be booked separately for € 17.50 per person per day.
For the above standard rates, FREE CANCELLATION UNTIL 1 DAY BEFORE ARRIVAL applies.
Non-Refundable room rate: this is a lower price, where payment is made immediately upon booking. In case of cancellation or change for any reason, no refund will be given. These bookings cannot be cancelled free of charge.
For early bookings during busy periods, we ask for a 50% deposit to be received 3 months before arrival. We can send a secure payment link for this. In case of timely cancellation of a standard B&B reservation, we will refund the deposit minus payment processing fees.
All room prices are excluding tourist tax of € 6 per person per night.
Check-in
You can check in from 13:00 to 17:00. If this time doesn’t work for you, please let us know before 16:00 on your arrival day. For late check-in, we have a simple self-check-in procedure. Arriving earlier than 13:00 is also no problem – you can drop off your luggage and we’ll already provide you with the key.
Check-out
Check-out is possible between 08:00 and 11:00 in the morning. On your departure day, you are also welcome to temporarily leave your luggage with us.
Arrival after 17:00
If you plan to arrive after 17:00, that’s no problem at all—just let us know before 16:00 on your arrival day by phone (023 5512385) or email info@maltshotel.nl. For late check-ins, we offer a simple self-check-in procedure.
Payment
Our preferred payment methods are PIN/Maestro/VPay or cash (Euros). We also accept credit cards: MasterCard and VISA.
Free luggage storage
You can drop off your luggage on your arrival day as early as 08:00 in the morning. On your departure day, it is also possible to temporarily leave your luggage with us. We don’t have an elevator, but we’re happy to help with your luggage.
Bicycles
Bike parking
For parking your bike, you’ll find a guarded facility at Grote Markt/Smedestraat (300 meters from the hotel), where you can store your bike overnight for €1. Charging stations for e-bikes are also available there.
Extra bed / baby bed
In the Large rooms, a baby bed can be provided on request for children up to 3 years old at €15 per night.
Extra bed: An extra bed can also be added to the Large room, upon request, for an additional €35 per night including breakfast.
Pets
Pets are not allowed in our hotel.
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the arrival day for standard bookings
For individual standard B&B and Bed Only room bookings, you can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours in advance, and up to 2 days before the arrival date. These conditions are the same as for Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com, etc.
If you cancel too late or do not show up, the first day of the booking will be charged.
Non-refundable bookings cannot be cancelled or modified.
Group booking
For group bookings (4 rooms or more), different booking and cancellation conditions apply.
Our B&B Hotel is not particularly suitable for groups.
For bookings of 4 or more rooms, we require a deposit of 30% of the reserved amount.
Group cancellation terms:
- – Between 7 and 0 days before arrival: 100%
- – Between 21 and 8 days before arrival: 50%
- – More than 3 weeks before arrival: €25

All reservations are subject to the Uniform Conditions for the Dutch Hospitality Industry, as filed with the District Court of The Hague.

Large Room
2 to 3 persons
The Large rooms are very spacious, offer a comfortable seating area, and include a small fridge with freezer compartment. Each room has a private bathroom with shower, toilet, and sink.
The room includes a digital flat-screen TV/radio and free access to wireless internet/WIFI.
The Large room is intended for two persons. Upon request, a third bed can be added.

Terrace Room
2 persons
The Terrace Room, located on the south side, is a lovely bright room with a private terrace (12m²) and a cozy sitting area. Perfect for enjoying a drink before or after dinner or sipping a nice cup of coffee in the morning—weather permitting. Smoking is allowed on the balcony.
This 2-person room is located on the first floor.
This room features two comfortable armchairs and a small fridge with a freezer compartment.
Size: 20 m² + 12 m² terrace
Standard Room
2 persons
Our Standard Room is a comfortable room for 2 people with a private bathroom including a shower, toilet, and sink. The room has a flat-screen TV/radio and free access to wireless internet/WIFI. This room is slightly more spacious than the Budget or Small Room. We have one room type that is larger—our Large Room.

Small / Twin Room
2 x single beds
The Small / Twin Room is a great 2-person room with 2 beds that can be separated on request.
The room has a private bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink. It also includes a flat-screen TV/radio and free access to wireless internet/WIFI.
If you want a bit more space in the room or have a lot of luggage, we recommend one of our other room types (Large or Standard).
This room does not allow for an extra bed or baby cot.
Size: approx. 16 m²
Budget Room
2 persons
The Budget Rooms are simple small rooms equipped with all necessary facilities. This room for 2 people has 2 beds of 80cm x 200cm. The rooms come with a private bathroom with a shower, toilet, and sink. Each room has a flat-screen TV/radio and free access to wireless internet/WIFI.
However, if you prefer a bit more space in the room or have a lot of luggage, we recommend one of our other room types (Large or Standard).
The Budget Room does not allow for an extra bed or baby cot.

Midweek Package
Enjoy Haarlem – 2 nights
The midweek package at B&B Hotel Malts is perfect for those who want to explore Haarlem’s culture, shopping, and beautiful surroundings/nature. Haarlem is also a culinary city with cozy restaurants and terraces!
On Sundays, shops and museums are open. On Mondays, the De Adriaan Windmill, the Hofjes, and the Grote Kerk are open!
